Mason has arrived

Here is one of my favorite shots from the newborn session that I photographed yesterday. I photographed Tara and Ralph's wedding last year, and I was honored to be the first one to photograph their first child Mason. He is such a cutie, gives me baby envy big time!

I am excited to announce that I have a new website in production. This site will solely be dedicated to portraits with an emphasis on children's portraiture. I am looking to create some new work for the site so I have decided to offer a children's portrait special for one week. All sessions will take place on location (with the exception of newborns). Newborns and babies will be photographed in my studio. Sessions will be limited! I am only scheduling 20 sessions at this special rate. I am excited to meet some new people, and I look forward to creating some stunning art work of your little ones!

Tracey and Ricky are absolutely adorable together. Usually the guys are a bit more reserved and it takes a while to loosen them up, but let me tell ya, Ricky is totally at ease in front of the camera. Yesterday afternoon my friends Jess and Tobey welcomed in the newest addition to their family, Gage Everett. You may recognize Jess from a few posts back when we did her maternity session. He is sooo cute and just perfect! Here are a few of my favorites.

Cool Stuff

I captured these photos while covering an event this past weekend at the Marble House Mansion in Newport RI. One of the neighboring mansions was having a fireworks display, so a bunch of the guests from the event that I was covering took a walk out to the waters edge to see the display. I quickly grabbed my camera and started shooting. Check out the little shadows of the onlookers at the bottom of the frame. So Cool!!

I was just working on Julie and Rob's images from their session on Thursday and I came across this image. I just had to share it. My goal for their session was to kick up the art up a notch. So here is just one more teaser. (I swear some of their pictures, do have heads in the frame!) :)

THIS IS INSANE!

I know you all visit this blog to see photographs of my beautiful clients, but my boyfriend showed me this Youtube video last night and I had to share it with you. I don't know these people and cannot take credit for the video. I will however be conducting my own test based on the video. I leave you with these two questions.... How safe are cell phones, and what's to make of our brains in 20 years? Please feel free to comment! I'll be posting my findings as soon as I conduct my own experiment.

Tracey + Joey = Engaged (Bristol RI)

I met up with Tracey and Joey this past weekend for our engagement date. It was like one million degrees out! I had lost my voice a few days prior due to a cough and cold and I was worried that I would have to reschedule, but I saved my voice all day so that I'd have a bit left for directing this session. Considering we were melting, and I had no voice, you wouldn't be able to tell from the pictures. We had alot of fun and I look forward to their wedding this October. Congratulations!
